New Zealand Maori Carved Wooden Tiki Tobacco Pipe 19th Century
Jacksons antique are pleased to offer a carved New Zealand Maori carved wood tiki tobacco pipe circa 1890. The pipe with rauponga decoration to the bowl amongst wheku faced mask motifs with haliotis shell eyes. The lip, bit and stem carved buffalo antler with the shank and bowl from carved wood. Probably made by the Te Arawa Maori group. Very good, untouched original condition, missing some shell eyes and char marks to the chamber. 5cm High x 3.5cm Wide x 15cm Long.
